- In Jimmi's cave, on the day of the hanging, Mik wakes up and sees that Jimmi cleaned her wound.
- She remembers being on morphine after a really serious ear infection one time.
- Jimmi's words are all around the cave, talking of angels, bombs, truth, and light.
- She looks around and sees Jimmi using a morphine stick in his arm. He tells her he's just taking the edge off.
- Jimmi says he's going to look for Fatima now. He doesn't want those kids with box cutters to get her.
- She should stay down there where she is safe, but Mik really wants to go with him.
- Jimmi leaves before she gets the chance.
