- She hears on the television that a war vet kidnapped a deaf kid from the school and authorities are looking for them.
- Mik's mom rushes home to be with NaNa. Both of them are worried sick about Mik, and they tell each other that Jimmi is crazy, that he has snapped—but they're actually not sure what to think.
