- Lin takes Tariq to Karla's house to get the clothes he left when he changed into his disguise for the Madame Zhou mission, but Lin only finds Lisa there.
- Tariq falls asleep while Lisa and Lin talk. They start drinking whiskey out of the bottle. Lisa seems to be high on heroin or something like it.
- Lisa opens her robe to show Lin her naked body, saying she's better looking than Karla. She starts seducing Lin, but suddenly needs to throw up. (Sexy, eh?)
- She does (gross), and then passes out.
- Lin starts snooping around Karla's place and finds her journal. He finds some entries about Sapna, and about the time that Lin told her that he loves her, and a poem that she had written on the last page.
- Lin copies down the poem and puts it in his wallet.
- On this snooping expedition, he also finds a bag with his clean clothes in it. Then he goes to get Tariq.
- As they walk back to the slum, past the stinky latrines, they are attacked by a pack of wild dogs.
- They run to a pile of wood and get on top of it, trying to fight off the angry beasts.
- Suddenly, when they are losing hope, Abdullah shows up and helps to fight off the dogs.
- They go to Lin's hut, and Abdullah says he had been waiting for him there when he heard the dogs and went to investigate.
- They all three go to bed.
