Jonson hung out at a tavern called The Mermaid Tavern, which had its fair share of famous guests. Other frequenters of the tavern included John Donne, Sir Walter Raleigh, Robert Herrick, and William Shakespeare. It burned down in the Great Fire of London in 1666.
