Here's your Shmoop du jour, brought to you by geology. I miss my old geology class.
- 00:08
Sorry, I'm being sedimental. Here's a passage followed by the viewpoints of 2 scientists.
- 00:23
Which of the following is the most important
- 00:25
piece of evidence to Scientist 2's argument?

So, what's this question asking? We're here to find which of these 4 options is most supportive of Scientist 2's viewpoint.
- 00:41
Scientist 2 seems to be pretty concerned with modeling.
- 00:46
So which answer has something to do with modeling? Option A says locations of python habitats
- 00:51
are overestimated which doesn't really jive with how Scientist 2 just said the models
- 00:56
are very accurate. B says modeling is an important predictor,
- 01:00
and goes on to sell it by saying the study took into account both rainfall and temperature changes.
- 01:05
That sounds a whole lot like what Scientist 2 just said.
- 01:09
Let's hang onto this one, but we'll check the others.
- 01:11
Option C says his team's predictions show a decrease in python habitat but wait, that
- 01:16
sounds more like Scientist 1 talking!
- 01:19
Option D says snakes need a marsh-like habitat to thrive in new areas. That may be technically
- 01:24
true, but it's not the answer we're looking for in the context of the question.
- 01:29
So, it looks like B is our answer. B as in beware of snakes.
- 01:46
A it is! A, as in Aaaaaah, snakes!
