It’s simple enough.
- 00:31
To find the percentage of the students who said the amount of homework was just right…
- 00:36
…we add the numbers of boys plus the number of girls who thought it was just right…
- 00:40
…and divide that by the total number of students... then multiply by 100, to turn it into a percentage.
- 00:46
Looking at our poll results, there were 4 boys and 2 girls who answered “just right.”
- 00:52
The total number of students can be found by adding 18, 17, 3, 4, 4, and 2. Which comes to 48.
- 01:04
6 over 48 is 1/8…or .125.
- 01:11
Multiply that by 100, and we get our percentage which is 12.5%
- 01:16
And THAT answer… is juuuust right.
