To be fair, it's hard for rich people to keep food on the table, too. Polished gold can be so slippery. (Source)

Anesthesiologists probably won't find it hard to pay the bills or keep food on the table with the salaries they pull down. The average salary for a practiced anesthesiologist is a whopping $300,000 (source). It quite literally doesn't get much better than that.

While newbies are starting at around only $200,000 per year (that's probably the first and last time you'll hear the phrase "only $200,000"), experienced and specialist anesthesiologists are reaching $450,000 a year and beyond (source).

Still not enough for you, Scrooge McDuck? Well, if you get really good at cardiology or pediatrics, you just might see seven figures someday. If that's still not enough...well, we don't really know what to tell you in that case.

Of course, there's a lot of education and training to go through on your way to Richville, and that often comes with a lot of tuition fees and loans. Still, earning $1250 per day goes a long way toward obliterating that debt in just a year or two. Then you can work toward your first down payment on a house or a boat. Or both.

You may not have gone into medicine for the money, but it sure helps.
