Glory
The most glorious feeling for a sound engineer is a job well done. You can probably imagine the joy of putting the finishing touches on a new hit song by your favorite artist, but audio engineers learn to enjoy sound on a whole 'nother level.
Whether monitoring levels for a circus performance, planning out a sound setup for a home theater, or working on the sounds for a big new adventure game, a sound engineer takes enormous pride in the work that they do. They get a warm, fuzzy feeling from that crisp, smoothly mastered audio.
There are a variety of awards for audio engineers, including Grammys, and even Oscars for the highly related profession of re-recording mixer.
