Bell Curve
Entry-Level Guard. Salary: $20,000
Let's get this party started...is what you won't be saying. At this point, the learning curve is steep and your patience and good judgment get a daily workout like they're training for the Olympics.
Guard with Three Years of Experience. Salary: $40,000
Now you've moved up to watching the inmates and the people watching the inmates. Even with all your years of experience, sometimes it's hard to tell the difference. Thank goodness for dress codes.
Deputy Warden/CIA. Salary: $55,000
Second in command. You're almost to the top of the heap. Know what that means? You get to do the tasks the Big Kahuna doesn't want to do.
Warden/Correctional Institution Administrator. Salary: $70,000
You've seen it all and you're ready to run the show. From inmate programs to discipline issues to building maintenance, you check things off your to-do list so fast, sometimes it gives off sparks. Which is a great skill for that 4th of July party you're going to this summer (source).
Warden at a Massive Prison. Salary: $100,000+
You're in a big pond but luckily you're a giant fish. Your rehabilitation programs were legendary and when the Warden at one of the state's biggest penitentiaries kicked the bucket, they called you. We wish we could say you can kick back and relax with all that moolah, but work comes first, and you've got a ton.
