Power
It's an odd kind of power. A sixteenth-century king had the power to kill. So do you, but…differently. And not as legally. And if they die, you probably will, too.
The skies are linked—one bad pilot can ruin the day for a whole lotta innocent people. There's a vibe when passengers load; they're counting on you to get them safely to their grandmas's, their business trip, or just back home to their dog. So your power is the power of reliance, trust, belief.
But since you're teaching the next generation of pilots, your power is magnified as they take the skills you taught them and pass along those habits to others. And more importantly, you're getting that generation ready for The Jetsons with the flying cars and all that stuff. Jane! Judy! Astro! Etc….
