Power
One thing you have to do in this job is be in control of your stuff. You'll probably want to set up your own operation—from trademarking the idea and creating a company to running the marketing and distribution. There's a lot to do, and at some point you'll need to hire some folks who can get it done. That is, once you know what "it" is. And then, if "it" is working, you'll need to hire a lot more people. To do more of "it."
That means you're the boss who everyone looks to when they drop their namby-pambies in the muck-muck pit. Or, you know, whatever. So what's the plan, boss? This is where a little background in accounting and management will help. Hustling product takes, like, heavy infrastructure, man.
In any case, you're the big kahuna, and there are a lot of people who can be affected by your decisions—your employees, your customers—so don't screw it up. Being in charge is your reward for having the chutzpah to get the thing started in the first place.
Also, you'll want to be the type of person who's always had a knack for exerting social power. Class President? Vice President? Um, chess club treasurer? In any case, you should be able to read people and express yourself clearly.
