As long as there's a working government, that government will need money to operate. And as long as the government needs money to operate, some people will try really hard not to pay up. So unless Judgment Day comes and the inevitable robot wars make tax collection a moot point, there's going to be an IRS Special Agent knocking on someone's door, wondering why they haven't paid their taxes.
