Glory

Being a team player should be enough glory for you. It doesn't matter if you win or lose, as long as you've got your compatriots by your side.

Obviously, it's a lot more glorious if you actually do win. If you win the Rugby World Cup, it's a very big deal to rugby fans. Sometimes it can be more significant than elections or revolutions.

Take the 1995 edition of the championship. When the underdog team from South Africa won at a time of great national upheaval, a nation was united in its pride, peace, and love of the sport—that's about as glorious an accomplishment as you can get from a violent, brutal team sport.

And thanks to its glorious return to the Olympics, winning athletes can once again swell with pride as they stand under their flags to be awarded their medals for representing their sport and their nation.
