Haters gonna hate. And sometimes, those haters are also going to hit you, call you nasty names, and picket the clinic where you work. They might even take an axe to your place of work. So yeah, you're going to want to watch your back.

But those are truly exceptional cases. For the most part, the life of a sex educator—especially those working in schools, not clinics—is incredibly safe. Our advice? Take death threats seriously, but no need to carry a gun or treat every package on your doorstep as "mysterious."
