Sometimes, while writing a piece of technical documentation, you'll come up with a way to improve a product or process that never occurred to the inventors of said product or process. Customers will thank you for this; the company you work for will thank you; the inventors you one-upped will glare at you and mutter darkly to themselves when they pass you in the hall.
