20-Year Prospect
As long as vistas stay picturesque and humans stay determined to take selfies, the adventure travel business should fare nicely. As much as people say we're a reckless bunch, most of us aren't interested in wandering off into the wilderness alone, à la Henry David Thoreau.
Even he didn't wander too far. We want to see the wonders of the world, but we sure as heck don't want to have to worry about getting lost and starving while we're doing it.
Of course, if we all chip in and turn nature into an oil-covered Mordor nightmareland, people may just choose to stay indoors with the shades closed. So as you pursue this venture as a life-goal, don't just take responsibility for those you lead: take responsibility for the places to which you lead people. It's just good business sense, really.
