Case File: Atlas vs. Heracles
Police Reports
Case Description: Complainant (Atlas) accuses defendant (Heracles) of fraud. While on his twelve labors, Heracles once held up the sky for Atlas while the Titan fetched the gold apples of the Hesperides for the hero. When Atlas returned, he offered to deliver the apples for Heracles as long as the hero continued to hold up the sky. Heracles agreed, but asked for Atlas to take the sky again for a moment while he put his lion skin cape over his shoulders for padding. When Atlas took the sky, Heracles ran off with the golden apples.
Case Status: Case closed. Heracles claims that Atlas was trying to trick him into holding up the sky forever and did not actually intend to return. Considering how nasty Atlas' job is, this seems pretty likely.
