- Ben wakes. Everyone else is already awake. He notices the water around them inside the cabin is about six inches deep.
- Ben thinks they should load up the dinghy. He wonders where they should go, though. There's a small island in the distance, but a lot of obstacles that lie in the way.
- He realizes their ship is going to sink eventually. They can't stay on board.
- Ben steers the dinghy toward the island. He finds a beach on which they can land.
- After that, Ben makes several trips back and forth between the boat and the island, getting supplies.
- Meanwhile, on the island, Dylan and Gerry have been arranging a makeshift camp. Ben helps them build a tent.
- They also put out a signal for help. These guys are halfway decent at survival stuff.
- Finally, they build a fire and snarf some chili. They're beat.
- As his brothers sleep, Ben walks around and contemplates his new situation. He feels lonely.
- For a minute, he thinks about just walking into the sea. The feeling passes. Ben returns to camp.
