In Capricorn's House
- Meggie and Fenoglio are taken to a room inside Capricorn's house, the room where Darius (the other reader) used to be locked up. There are two beds, a window, a table, and not much else.
- Meggie wants to try to run away, but Fenoglio tells her to sit tight while he thinks of ideas (that's his job, after all). So she waits… and once again, wonders where Mo is.
