The Right Words
- Fenoglio goes through a bunch of drafts, trying to get the new version of the Shadow exactly right.
- Chow time. Mortola brings food for Meggie, as well as a white dress for her to wear to the ceremony. It has tight sleeves, but Meggie manages to conceal the sheet that Fenoglio's written on in one of them anyway.
- Meggie is super nervous, and Fenoglio keeps trying to cheer her up, until finally Mortola comes to lead Meggie to the execution.
