- Zombie is having a hard time coping with this new information. The aliens tricked him and the other soldiers.
- Ringer takes charge. Their next move needs to be to kill whoever was shooting at them.
- First, she removes his implant.
- Zombie has another terrible realization: Camp Haven wasn't a refuge. It was a death camp.
- They're off to kill the shooter. Make that disarm the soldier. Zombie doesn't want to kill him. (Why?)
- They go into the room where the shooter is. Ringer shoots the sniper. Surprise! It's Reznik.
- He tries to punch at something in his hand, but Ringer shoots and kills him.
- Ringer checks out the handheld device. She thinks that Reznik was going to kill them with it as a last resort, since they had found him out. That had not been his plan all along, however.
- They look at the device. They can see all of their squad on it. Good thing they cut out their trackers, then.
- There are also flashing switches which Ringer thinks are "kill switches." Each one corresponds to a soldier.
- Ringer decides that Reznik shot at them to urge them into battle before. It was their first time out, so he knew they might need special incentive.
- Zombie decides they should return to the squad and cut out the other implants.
- To return, they'll have to re-insert their implants. Otherwise, they'll glow green in their squad mates' eyepieces.
