- Homer Simpson and a donut. As Rick approaches Atlanta in panel 192, we see a billboard of Homer Simpson with a donut. Other than that, pop culture and literary references seem to have been killed off with the rest of humanity. Survivors don't have time to read Dickens or talk politics. It's a pretty insular world.
