Abdul Wahab

Character Analysis

Wahab is the live-in companion of Prime Minister Starling—the narrator calls him the Prime Minister's "catamite," in fact (3.1.1). One night, when the Prime Minister wakes from nightmares of global famine and cannibalism, Wahab soothes him back to sleep. He also suggests that the government might want to try a little superstition, since nothing else seems to be working.
