- In the middle of the night, Windemere rattles. It's the same rattle that Taft said was coming from Cuddledown.
- Cadence can't sleep, so she goes outside. She sees Carrie on the walkway, walking to Red Gate.
- A few minutes later, Carrie comes back up the walkway from Cuddledown.
- Carrie sees Cadence and asks if she's feeling better.
- Cadence apologizes for missing dinner and says she was sleeping; she asks why Carrie is awake in the middle of the night.
- Carrie says Will has bad nightmares and wakes up screaming, and then she can't go back to sleep, so she wanders the island.
- She asks if Cadence has seen Johnny, and Cadence says not in the middle of the night.
- Carrie says Johnny is sometimes awake when she's awake, then walks off in the dark.
