in Grandma's garden certainly are.

In fact, plants are important for tons of different reasons. [Coop pointing at a blackboard]

First and foremost, plants are important for food.

Whether it's a giraffe, a cow, a rabbit, or a human that smells like tofu, many animals [Pictures of the animals appearing]

rely solely on vegetation as a source of energy.

And unless you'd be okay with people walking around naked all of the time––which would

make for a lot of awkward family reunions––then you're probably pretty happy we have plants [Guy stood with only an apron on]

like the cotton plant and hemp plant to be used to make clothing. [Dino pointing at a blackboard]

And chances are you're watching this video indoors.

And we all know where wood comes from.

But petroleum products and natural gas both come from deposits deep inside the earth from

dead plants and animals from a long, long time ago.

After all, plants add oxygen to our atmosphere through a process called “photosynthesis.”

All in all, it's really hard to say anything bad about plants.

They give us food, air, energy, clothing and wood.
