If you work for a prestigious school, people will automatically think you're smart and treat you with respect. Your parents will get to kvell to their friends about what a hot shot you are and you'll be asked to speak at numerous high schools and rotary events throughout the country.
You can take pride in knowing that you fought for kids who might not have gotten a chance to go to your school if it weren't for you.
When a student you admitted makes a big splash and does something outstanding in life (or donates big bucks to his or her alma matter), it's partially because you believed in her or him and made it happen.
