Qualifications
Anyone who is a spectacular writer can do this job...but it helps to have a degree in journalism.
Or you could go all official and get a degree in psychology, which certainly wouldn't hurt your chances at legitimacy.
Having common sense is a must for this job, and something of a moral compass can be pretty darn handy as well.
Then again, you don't want to get so serious so as to not notice that you've been pranked, like the advice columnist for The Winnipeg Free Press, who answered a question straight from the plot of Breaking Bad with serious advice (just watch out for that second cell phone, lady).
