Events planner and manager salaries vary as widely as the types of events they may be planning. Starting salaries for assistants and managers at D-level businesses will be in the $30,000 range or lower. Thankfully, once your career gets going, so does the average income you can expect. The average events manager makes closer to $45,000-$50,000 a year, not to mention the kinds of benefits and health coverage that comes with having a corporation at your back (source).

The money will rise sharply with the size of the corporation (or, if you're a more independent person, with the amount of companies you sign on with) and should continue to rise as you become more experienced.

With experience comes higher paychecks, and let's not forget all those great connections you'll be making over your career. After all, what's the point of a party if you don't meet a few new faces? An experienced events manager with a portfolio of exclusive clients, vendors, and events can bring in close to a hundred grand per year (source).

And they said you'd never turn your party-hosting skills into a marketable career.
