Odds of Hanging On
The world of corporate relocation services is actually pretty large, as companies spend in the neighborhood of $9 billion a year solely on relocating employees in the States (source). With figures so enormous, it's fairly safe to say that business is and has been booming for quite some time.
However, as most corporations operate on the idea of cutting costs to maximize profits, if your relocation cost is more than the average $90,017 per employee, you'll probably have to relocate yourself to a new position.
You not only have to be good at relocating people, but you have to do it on a budget. Help people find what they want, for sure, but make sure you're not doing so at the expense of your own job. This isn't a job at which you'll be able to simply scoot by—you're holding someone's comfort and happiness in your hands. People get mighty complain-y when they don't get things exactly the way they want.
