Qualifications
Most places want you to have a high school diploma. A few may just require you to have a pulse and a nice phone voice.
Still, a college degree will come in handy when you get sick of this job and decide to change careers mid-stream.
The main thing you'll need for this job is patience. Yards and yards of it.
You'll need to be able to ignore a total stranger yelling and screaming at you because they didn't get what they wanted and they blame you, personally.
You'll have to be quick on your feet, a good problem solver, and someone who can move things along when a customer gets hung up on a particular issue. Being able to spin a problem like Don Draper won't hurt.
Understanding complaints in a foreign tongue is also a plus; as is having a voice that sounds exactly like a well-known, beloved celebrity. Who could get mad at Morgan Freeman?
