Fame
Don't be silly. No one will have heard of you. If you end up leading a strike against your city, standing firm for fairer wages while recycling piles up in the streets, well, you might end up getting your five minutes, but just locally. Considering how much people love the smell of garbage in the street (spoiler alert—they don't), it might not be the type of fame you're looking for.
It should be pretty obvious, in our opinion, but if fame is what you're after, then recycling plant manager probably isn't the career to shoot for.
