- Today it's all about Joni, as she tells her friend Laura to tell Paul that she thinks he's a jerk.
- Paul's having none of the third-grade-ishness, so he marches into the girls's locker room during gym class.
- (No biggie—the girls all know he's gay.)
- Joni asks Paul if Laura failed to tell him to stay away from her; Paul says she told him, but he'd rather hear it from Joni.
- Joni tells him to stay away.
- It's a friendship breakup, and it's horrible.
- But wait, it gets more horrible—Paul finds out that the whole school knows when Kyle tells him that afternoon.
- News travels fast around this place.
- Kyle suggests that the Dowager's Dance committee go to the cemetery the next day to get ideas for the dance, and since Paul's got nothing better to do, he agrees.
- After school, guess who's talking in the halls? That's right, it's Infinite Darlene and Noah… And Darlene's got her hand on Noah's shoulder.
- As soon as Noah walks away, Paul asks Infinite Darlene exactly what she thinks she's doing.
- Infinite Darlene tells Paul he's just going to have to trust her.
