- The master came up to Pamela to let her know their marriage license had arrived, bringing them back to a discussion of the wedding date. They finally decided to get married on the upcoming Thursday. Mr. Williams is going to officiate.
- He also informed Pamela that his sister's husband had written him. He tore the letter into little pieces in front of the servant who delivered it. The servant said something about Lady Davers planning a visit, but Mr. B cut him off. He is hoping that his rudeness to the servant will dissuade Lady Davers from visiting.
