Flora and Ulysses Chapter 13 Summary

The Typewriter

  • Ulysses wakes up and—surprise—is very hungry.
  • He remembers something happening to him, but he's a little fuzzy on the details.
  • He runs downstairs to the kitchen to grab a midnight snack, and, finding a cheese puff on the floor, he happily gobbles it up.
  • Figuring that where there's one cheese puff there are more, Ulysses searches for the cheesy snacks until he finds the bag, at which point he devours it.
  • As Ulysses looks around the kitchen, he sees the typewriter on the table and goes over to it.
  • He's not sure if he's fighting crime or even a superhero, but he starts typing anyway.
