Flora and Ulysses Chapter 47 Summary

Flying Squirrels

  • Shh… Everyone is super quiet when Ulysses flies. Flora isn't really sure why, but it amazes her.
  • Everything seems to slow down when her squirrel flies, and William isn't sure what's happening. They tell him the squirrel is flying, but they're not sure how or why.
  • George points out to Phyllis how amazing it is that the squirrel can fly, saying that this means anything can happen.
  • William doesn't think this flying squirrel business is so impressive, though. Some squirrels can fly, so what's the big deal?
  • Flora points out that he can type, too, and then to prove it, she clunks Ulysses down in front of the typewriter and tells him to write.
  • He begins pecking away at the keys, and her dad notes how amazing it is.
  • Flora's all that's because he's a superhero
  • Duh, people.
