This guy works for Sir Myles, serving as the majordomo of Barony Olau. He agrees with Sir Myles's decision to not take any servants when he and Alanna go exploring the ruins near the castle. The place is spooky, and Ranulf knows his people well enough to know that no one wants to be badgered or bullied into visiting the ruins.
